Sophia is new to town. she makes friends with Rowan and Emily rather quickly, but when things start to go south, she falls into the hands of the enemy and goes missing.
Rowan is a farmer's daughter. One day a scarecrow is brought to her dad and she helps move it into the back of her dad's truck. She gets cut and starts experencing strange dreams and moments where she doesnt feel like she's seeing things through her own eyes.
Emily is Rown's best friend. Her dad finds a scarecrow eft behind in one of their motel rooms and brings it over to Rowan's father. The scarecrow gives Emily a bad feeling, but otherwise she doesnt pay it much mid until her friend starts acting strange and kids start to show up dead.

After getting cut by a strange scarecrow that was brought to her father, Rowan starts to have strange dreams, children start going missing, and she is seeing things she is positive she shouldn't be. IT's like she's looking through someone else's eyes.
Young--12-year-old--Rowan runs from danger, trying to convince the adults around her that it's coming for all the children. While older--15-year-old--Rowan runs into the corn field head-first to save her friend and the lives of other children.
